Weymouth's architectural character has been shaped over centuries, from the Georgian elegance of the Esplanade, encouraged by King George III's patronage of the town, to the Victorian landmark of St John's Church, the historic waterfront at Brewers Quay, and the traditional streets surrounding the old harbour. Together, these buildings and places tell the story of a town that has evolved while retaining a strong sense of identity.
