Benjamin R Kirby ARB. PGCert. MArch. Bsc.  (ARB No. 111090B)

Your Expert in Architecture

Ben, a fully qualified Architect and founder of Rosenkelly Architectural Design, specialises in residential projects. Before establishing his own practice, he contributed to large scale developments across the South West of England with Thrive Architects Ltd and worked on mixed-use projects at Origin 3 Studios in Bristol. Earlier, he played a key role in high-end residential designs at Richmond Bell Architects Ltd, focusing on properties in Wiltshire, London, and beyond.

Academically, Ben holds a Master's and Postgraduate Certificate in Architecture, alongside a First-Class Honours degree from the University of the West of England (UWE). His technical expertise is further reinforced by an Extended Diploma in surveying and civil engineering from Weymouth Construction College, where he earned Dual Distinction*.

What sets Ben apart is his hands on construction experience. Having worked as a builder’s labourer on listed buildings and bespoke projects in Dorset, he understands the practicalities of turning designs into reality. His time with family-run firms like Building Service Solutions and Phoenix Property Maintenance Ltd equips him with the insight to streamline the construction phase of your project efficiently.

For architectural expertise with real-world construction knowledge, Ben is the professional you need.

Passion for Placemaking

Ben is passionate about shaping vibrant, character-rich places; especially in Dorset. He believes great architecture goes beyond buildings, helping to strengthen communities and enrich everyday life through thoughtful, locally grounded design.

Volunteering in 2025

Ben has joined the Weymouth and Portland Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee. In his spare time, he volunteers to support the Chamber’s initiatives wherever needed.

Recently, Ben spoke at and sponsored the 'Building Your Future' event, which achieved a record-breaking attendance for the Chamber.
