Rodwell 2 is a major transformation of an existing 3-bedroom property near Rodwell, Weymouth, creating a spacious 5-bedroom family home with a much better balance of living and bedroom accommodation.

The project began with a very different brief, initially exploring two extensions alongside a loft conversion. Through the design process, the scheme evolved considerably, ultimately removing the need for the loft conversion altogether.

• 3-bedroom to 5-bedroom family home

• Side and rear wraparound extension

• Complete internal reconfiguration

• New roof design

• New façade treatment and refreshed external appearance

• Improved allocation of living and bedroom space

 

Although substantial in scope, careful consideration has been given to the overall volume, proportions and appearance of the property. The result is effectively a new home created from the existing building, without simply adding unnecessary floor area.
